Epsom Salts & Cleansing

Epsom salts have been used for decades in cleansing, both internally as a laxative and externally to rejuvenate the body from aches and pains. The magnesium sulfate also cleanses toxins by balancing the amount of magnesium in your system.

Exterior

For generations, Epsom salts have been the go-to soak for tired, aching feet. The product is also used as a healing bath for bruises and bumps and as a softening facial scrub.

Interior

When mixed with water, Epsom salts produce a solution to relieve constipation. This mix can be taken orally or in an enema and has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Effects

The scientific name for Epsom salts is magnesium sulfate. The mineral can be absorbed through the skin, so it can remove toxins by easing many symptoms of magnesium deficiency, like aching muscles and high stress. It can also help circulation.

Warning

Always follow manufacturer's directions when using Epsom salts, and consult your doctor first if you have a surplus of magnesium in your body. Also, if you are pregnant or have serious bowel or stomach issues, ask your doctor before use.

Fun Fact

Epsom salts were first discovered and used in Epsom, England, more than 400 years ago.
