7. Have a Doppler heartbeat count. Using sound waves, the Doppler allows you to hear the baby's heartbeat. A trained medical professional will be able to tell if there are multiple heartbeats, which indicates multiple babies.
8. Have an ultrasound. This one of the best ways to confirm there are twins. An ultrasound is a procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce a picture of the uterus to see if there are twins. This is a great way to confirm a multiply pregnancy. There is the possibility that one twin can hide behind another during an early ultrasound.
