Hiv Urine Therapy

There are several medications available to help manage and control the development of HIV and AIDS in those with the disease. One alternative medicine purported to help in controlling HIV is the drinking of your own urine. This therapy has been used for centuries in the Middle East for a variety of illnesses.

Urine therapy and HIV

Urine is a by-product of the body's waste filtration process and is made up primarily of water, but it also has a variety of other chemicals, vitamins, and so forth, that the body has discerned as unnecessary at that time. For example, if when you are sick and you take large amounts of vitamin C, what you body does not use is eliminated through your urine. Many believe by drinking your own urine you are providing your body with much needed vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

The medical process of controlling HIV is a difficult one because of the numerous medications and side effects. Also, the medications are not always effective and many people will try a variety of alternative medicines to stave off their death. Among the many Web sites associated with urine therapy, there are several testimonials from people who have had success in controlling their HIV. The official medical world does not subscribe that urine therapy is an acceptable and effective treatment for HIV. As with any form of treatment, you should speak with your physician prior to starting the therapy.

Drink Urine

There are no adverse health effects to drinking your own urine. Urea is a component of urine and can be poisonous in large doses, but not in the regular drinking of urine. While modern medicine does not accept the principal of urine therapy, it can be used in conjunction with medications and therapies to bolster treatment. When you drink your own urine, its ingredients are recycled throughout the body so any vitamins, enzymes, and the like, that your body needs can be filtered from the urine in the digestive process. Also, the small amount of toxins in the urine stimulate the body's cleansing protocols, according to the Vanderbilt University website. The same website says that It is the cleansing process, along with the influx of nutrients, that is the reason its supporters say urine therapy is an effective treatment for diseases such as HIV.

The best urine to drink is the first of the day, at around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. and put into a glass at midstream. The urine should be sipped and not chugged like a shot of alcohol. Drink at least one liter of water throughout the day, and any urine voided in the night prior to 3 a.m. should not be used. You should also avoid any salty or pungently smelling foods. After all, you are going to drink it.
