How Get Help Paying For A Spiriva Handihaler

Spiriva HandiHaler is an inhaler designed for the daily treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. Because such a medication is crucial for patients, the makers of Spiriva have partnered with a company called Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) to ensure that if you are unable to pay for Spiriva on your own, there is help that you can receive.

Applying for Assistance

There are several different coverage programs available through PPA, each with different criteria for eligibility. If you qualify for more than one program, you are entitled to join them all.

Doctor Visit

You must fill out the applications online (see Resources), then print them and bring them into your doctor's office. Your health care providers must sign the forms and describe your medication, or simply attach your prescription to the form. Once this is done, either you or your doctor must send the form out in order to receive help paying for Spiriva.

Citizenship Required

After you have filled out your applications and had your doctor sign off on them, the company will inform you whether or not you qualify. Unfortunately, this coverage is only open to those who can provide proof of citizenship.
