Bulgarian Tribulus Facts

Bulgarian tribulus has been used by some who claim it improves sexual function.


Tribulus terrestris, or Bulgarian tribulus, is used in medicine and as a supplement. The plant's variety of uses include energy enhancement, libido and erectile function improvement, muscular growth and for treatment of cardiovascular disease.


Hormones


Tribulus stimulates spermatogenesis, or sperm developement, through increasing secretion of the luteinizing hormone. This causes an increase in male testosterone that results in the quantity and quality of sperm produced. In females, the plant stimulates secretion of estrogen.


Muscle Growth


The body can build more mass and muscle because the extra secretion of testosterone boosted by Tribulus. Natural testosterone promotes muscle growth, strength and recovery from muscle stress through exercise.


Treatment of Cardiac Disease


A compound within Tribulus called soponin is acknowledged to improve cardiac health. The Department of Phytomedicines in Amity University noted in a clinical trial that the herb dilated coronary arteries and improved circulation.
