RLS, or Restless Legs Syndrome, is a condition that causes those who suffer with it to have extreme discomfort in their legs when in a resting position. There are many different causes for this condition.
Stress
Increased stress can cause the development of RLS or worsen it. This is due to the changes in the hormones in the body.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a leading contributer to RLS. The hormonal changes in the body along with the stress can cause symptoms of RLS to appear. Fortunately, the condition usually disappears after the pregnancy.
Iron Deficiency
Iron deficiency can cause RLS to develop or worsen. Iron keeps your body healthy, and without it, many conditions can develop.
Kidney Problems
Kidney problems, such as Kidney failure, usually causes Iron Deficiency, and in turn, RLS. RLS can develop without the iron deficiency in kidney failure patients due to the chemical changes in the body.
Hereditary
RLS is more likely to occur in those who have a family history of the condition.
