Make A Bandito Skullcap

Fold a bandanna to make a bandito skullcap.

Traditionally, a skullcap referred to a small, brimless, close-fitting cap, often made of silk or velvet, worn on the crown of the head. Different types of skullcaps are worn across a variety of cultures and religions for a wide range of reasons. These days many people are either buying versions of bandito-style skullcaps in stores or fashioning their own skullcaps out of a bandanna or scarf.

Instructions

1. Lay your bandana open and flat.

2. Holding one corner, fold it over toward the opposite corner, forming a triangle.

3. Place the folded bandana over your head so that the long folded edge is pressed against your forehead and the corners that were brought together are pointing toward the back of your head.

4. Bring together the three corners of the folded bandana at the back of your head with your hands. Pull these corners tightly.

5. Tie the two corners of the folded edge together in a tight knot at the back of your head, while making sure to keep the corner pointing toward the back of your head under the knot.
