Remain vigilant with your diet. Sugar appears to promote the growth of yeast, so try to avoid sugar and sugary products, including fresh fruits and juices. Also, limit your intake of baked goods made with yeast and gluten such as breads, crackers and pastries. Do not eat any products that contain yeast, such as cheese, or any edible fungus like mushrooms.
Individuals with more severe cases may need a prescription for oral medication in addition to creams.
