Cope With Bleeding Ears

Bleeding ears can be the symptom of a major problem or just a minor annoyance. There are several ways that you can cope with the bleeding, including ignoring the problem if it is nothing more than an inconvenience. Consult a doctor, clean the area and watch for any signs that this small problem may be turning into something more serious.

Instructions

1. Soak your ears in hot water mixed with table salt for 10 to 15 minutes at a time if the problem is on the outside of your ear. The hot water will reduce the pain, while the salt can draw out any infection.

2. Use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on the outside of the ear to help the healing. If you have an infection, this will scab over the area.

3. Apply a topical cream onto the ear. You can obtain cream from a doctor or use an over-the-counter cream to numb the ear and help with any discomfort.

4. Limit the amount of pain killers you use, including over the counter pain relievers such as aspirin. They thin your blood which increases your bleeding.
