Placement Of Magnets To Quit Smoking

From chewing gum to pills, creams, patches, herbal remedies and even laser therapy, health professionals and companies have worked to find the most effective way to get people to stop smoking. One of the latest strategies to kick the habit involves the use of magnets. These magnets are small, easy to use and promise a quick and permanent solution to the difficult task of quitting smoking.

The use of tobacco and its subsequent health consequences are worldwide problems that affect both smokers and nonsmokers. A wide variety of treatments and support groups are available to try to help smokers drop the habit. Even the World Health Organization has enacted strict policies to try to reduce the number of people who smoke.

Deciding to Quit


The most important step toward a life free from smoking is making the decision to quit. Sit down and make a list of the benefits and downsides of your habit. You probably will find that the downsides are very harmful to you and your loved ones.








Get support from close friends and family. Smokers who have the support of their spouse and kids have much better chances of quitting. Recruit some nonsmoking friends to hang out with. They can point out the benefits of dropping the habit and will constantly remind you of your progress and goals.


Starting to Quit


The stop-smoking ear magnets are noninvasive and easy to use. You do not need to quit smoking for the first few days on this treatment. You will have two small magnets the size of an earring. One is a bit smaller than the other. Place the smaller magnet on the front upper part of your left ear. The larger magnet goes directly behind the first one, on the back side of the ear. The force between the two magnets will hold them to your ear.


Wear the magnets for at least two to four hours a day. These magnets work through acupressure therapy, helping the body produce chemicals that help you quit smoking. For the first seven days, you may continue to smoke as usual. However, you may find that the desire to smoke decreases during this first week.


Kicking the Habit for Good


After the initial week, it's time to quit cold turkey. On the eighth day, wear the magnets for two to four hours and refrain from lighting a cigarette. Continue to do this for the next 20 to 25 days and you may find that your desire to smoke has disappeared.
