Treat Cellulite Using Home Remedies

Cellulite consists of fatty dimples under the skin of the buttocks, and sometimes the legs. Women get cellulite more often than men because of differences in the way fat, muscle and connective tissue are distributed in their skin. Cellulite is a result of too much fat and fluids trapped deep under the skin, which cause the skin to pucker up. When waste products are removed, the skin stays nice and smooth; but when the fat builds up under the skin and pushes against the connective tissue, the skin dimples and causes cellulite. There are other names for cellulite, including orange peel syndrome, cottage cheese skin, mattress phenomenon and hail damage. Cellulite can make a person feel ugly and not want to wear a bathing suit for fear of showing her cellulite. There are ways to prevent cellulite and ways to treat it with home remedies.

Instructions

1. Take a soft body brush to damp or dry skin and brush in long, sweeping movements over the cellulite-affected area. Make sure you work the brush in the direction of the heart.

2. Use a soft-bristled brush and gently press it on the area of skin that exhibits cellulite. Move the brush in circular motions from head to toe, or merely on the affected area.

3. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables that are low in calories but packed with nutrients. You can also drink fruit and vegetable juices.

4. Drink your favorite beverages, preferably water or juice, at room temperature instead of ice cold. Ice constricts the esophagus and stomach, which in turn interferes with the flow of digestive enzymes in your stomach.

5. Massage a cellulite cream onto the affected area with your fingertips. Using the fingertips makes the cellulite cream more effective.

6. Take caffeinated coffee and grind it into dust. Rub the coffee dust into the cellulite-affected area for 60 seconds per day, then shower afterward. Doing this will smooth out your skin, and the cellulite will be gone in no time.
