Find Peppermint Oil

Peppermint oil is used to treat digestion issues.

Peppermint oil is distilled from the peppermint plant, an herb that grows throughout Europe and North America. Peppermint is often used in cooking and teas; however, its essential oil has health benefits and potential alternative medicine applications. According to National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, peppermint oil is used for "headaches, muscle and nerve pain, and stomach and bowel conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome." It can be found online and in health food and specialty stores.

Instructions

1. Visit your local health food store. Browse the shelves of the supplements section or ask a clerk if they stock peppermint oil. Request a special order if they don't have it on hand.

2. Check your local listings for specialty baking, cooking or herb stores. If you live in a large city, you may have a specialty store nearby that carries essential oils. If they don't carry the oil, ask the store staff to check with their suppliers for prices and availability; then place a special order.

3. Purchase peppermint oil from an online supplier such as GNC, 100 Percent Pure Essential Oils or Peppermint Essential Oil. Browse the brands and sizes available; then fill in the order form with your contact and payment information.
