Use Essential Oils For Aging Skin

On the list of ingredients for your favorite anti-aging creams, cleansers and beauty products, you are sure to find at least one essential oil. And for good reason, as the natural healing qualities of herbs have been used for centuries to help keep skin looking young and beautiful. If you would like to boost the effects of your beauty products, you can pick and choose from a number of oils and add them to your current products for aging skin.

Instructions

1. Add anti-aging properties to your regular facial cleansers by placing your regular cleanser in your palm and then add a single drop of sweet basil, lemon, lemongrass, niaouli, juniper or peppermint.

2. Apply a moisturizer or wrinkle cream after you have washed your face, adding a drop of carrot seed, frankincense, fennel, geranium, patchouli, rose, sage or lavender to boost the anti-wrinkle properties.

3. Go to bed at night knowing that your regular hydrating cream is working double-time to keep your skin young and beautiful. When applying your night cream, add a drop of sweet orange, tangerine, mandarin, rose or neroli.

4. Reduce under-eye puffiness by adding a drop of cypress, rosemary, clary, fennel or peppermint to your regular under eye cream.

5. Moisturize your skin to keep the skin firm and help to rejuvenate tissues by adding a drop of tea tree oil, patchouli, caraway, clary sage, carrot seed or calendula essential oil to your regular moisturizer or sunscreen.
