Fix A Teeth Gap Without Braces

Fix your teeth gap without braces.

A tooth gap, or diastema, is commonly found between the top front teeth. While some people feel that a tooth gap adds character to their appearance, other people find it unattractive and want to eliminate theirs. There are ways to fix a tooth gap without braces.

Instructions

1. Give it time. If your wisdom teeth have not yet come in, they may push your front teeth together when they grow in. Wisdom teeth typically grow in between ages 15 and 25. If you are younger, time may be all you need.

2. Talk to your dentist about composite bonding. For small gaps, a thin layer of a resin filling material can be placed along the inside edge of each tooth, making the space much less noticeable.

3. Speak to a cosmetic dentist about getting veneers or crowns. Veneers are thin shells that go over the front of your teeth. Crowns surround the tooth. These can be made to be wider than your natural teeth, filing in the gap.

4. See an orthodontist about Invisalign. This is a type of retainer that aligns your teeth over time. It is not noticeable, and it can correct your smile without the use of braces.
