Though no longer in the Weslo exercise equipment company's product line, the Cadence 1015 still forms the foundation of many people's running workouts worldwide. This foldable treadmill offers digital controls at the user's fingertips to change workouts or adjust the incline level.
General
The Weslo Cadence 1015 has a 2-horsepower motor that drives an adjustable, incline walking belt that is 16 inches wide and 50 inches long. The machine weighs 45 pounds. A window display shows workout time, velocity, distance, pulse and caloric and fat-burning levels.
Specifics
The cockpit of the 1015 treadmill has a holder for a water bottle and towel on the right and a key attachment in the center for emergency stopping. The console requires as many as three AA batteries, depending on the particular console, accessible from underneath.
Using the Console
In the upper left of the console, a two-direction power incline button allows for easy adjustments during a run. A thumb clip, attached to the other end of the emergency stop key, monitors heart rate, which is displayed in the lower-left corner of the console. On the center-left, distance, time, calories burned, pulse and speed readings are clustered with the power/reset button. On the right, the training zones are organized. With a knob on the right that allows you to choose among cooldown, fat burning, aerobic and performance modes, the "heart rate training zones" located right-center allow you to keep track of your performance based on age, speed and endurance.
