Remove Excess Radiesse

While Radiesse is marketed as having few, if any, side effects including allergic reactions, there is a chance of your skin remaining irritated and swollen after the post-treatment window period. If your Radiesse treatment is causing you discomfort, it is important to see your physician or dermatologist immediately. Listed below are ways to remove the facial filler in a safe way.

Instructions

1. Visit your dermatologist. If excess Radiesse is causing distortion to your face, your dermatologist can remove some of the filler by puncturing the injection and squeezing it from your face. This only can be done within the first week of having the treatment, and you should never try it by yourself.

2. Have a surgical procedure to remove the filler. This option should only be used as a last resort and only if your dermatologist recommends surgery to remove the Radiesse. The procedure may leave a small, permanent scar.

3. Wait it out. Radiesse is temporary, and the results of the filler disappear within 12 to 18 months. While this is the cheapest option, bruising and swelling may continue until your body absorbs the filler.
