Cure A Yeast Infection In Men

Yeast infections occur in women and men. Men often contract the infection after being intimate with a women that has one, as these infections are easily transmitted through sexual activity. However, there are many options men can resort to in order to cure a yeast infection.


Instructions


1. Try over-the-counter remedies that can be found at the local drugstore. These can be creams, lotions and suppositories. While these may temporarily fix a yeast infection in men, they may only provide short-term relief.


2. Buy plain, unsweetened yogurt to eat. The bacteria that is found in yogurt can rid the body of the yeast infection.


3. Take a garlic pill once a day, or eat raw garlic. Garlic has been known to fight yeast infections, and has many other health benefits, as well.


4. Take oil of oregano once a day, or as directed by a doctor.


5. Drink plenty of water. By drinking water, you cause the body to urinate frequently, flushing out the yeast in your body.


6. Avoid antibiotics while harboring a yeast infection, as these can make an infection worse by weakening the immune system.


7. Talk to your doctor if you cannot get rid of your yeast infection on your own. He may prescribe a prescription drug or cream that can rid the body of the infection faster.
