Write An Economics Paper On Inflationary Causes & Cures

Regulation of Wall Street is a core economic policy debated by economists.

Writing a paper on inflationary causes and cures is structurally little different than writing any paper. Although the content will differ, how you approach the research and writing stage should be the same, with book and journal research supporting a formulaic writing approach. The range of theories in economics require a balanced approach to the causes and cures of inflation, although there is empirical evidence which you can base your argument on. Whether you are advancing an argument, or outlining the theories, your paper must contain a range of theory and evidence.

Instructions

1. Look at the theories behind fighting inflation. Economics contains many different theories of what causes and what fights inflation. For example, read the difference between the Keynesian and the monetarist approaches to fighting inflation.

2. Read up on empirical evidence of inflation. For example, the governments of the 1980s dealt with inflation in a different way to those of the 1940s and 1950s. By looking at the history, you can understand how changing economies and ideologies impact strategies for fighting inflation.

3. Write a plan for your paper, with four key points answering the question. Write the four key points as subheadings and include information from your reading underneath. Insert useful quotations from your reading.

4. Write an introduction to your paper in which you define the key terms in the question, highlight how you will answer the question and briefly introduce the four key points. Write the points underneath, starting a new paragraph for each.

5. Conclude your paper, where you use your evidence to support an answer to the question. Recap your four key points, and conclude with a statement directly answering the question.

6. Include a reference list and a bibliography, depending on the requirements of your professor. The bibliography should be a full list of books, journals and other resources you used to research your paper. Check your faculty's referencing style for specific reference tips.
