Some programs require you attend an instructor class, which lasts from 1 to 3 days, in person before allowing you to take the exam. Other programs allow you to take the test after completing the online course material only. Look into which options are available in your community.
3. Demonstrate your skill. After completing the CPR course material and passing the exam, you must demonstrate your teaching skills in front of an AHA or school instructor to ensure you will teach CPR correctly.
