There are a few ways to remove an ink stain from fabric.
Removing ink from fabric is something that most people will have to do at one time or another. No matter which technique you use, remember that heat sets a stain. Check your dirty clothes before putting them in the washing machine, especially if you wash clothes in warm or hot water. And when removing a stain, use cold water.
Hydrogen Peroxide and Ammonia
Mix hydrogen peroxide and ammonia, adding as little as a few drops of ammonia or as much as a ratio of one to one. Start with the minimum amount, and if it doesn't work, add a little more. Apply the mixture to the outer edge of the ink stain to prevent it from spreading as you remove the stain. If you are cleaning a natural fabric such as cotton or linen, omit the ammonia altogether, since it can damage natural fibers.
Rubbing Alcohol
After you have applied the peroxide, apply rubbing alcohol to the ink stain, ensuring that it doesn't spread beyond the peroxide. Blot the fabric between two clean towels, and continue applying the alcohol and blotting until the stain is gone. If this doesn't work, you can also use a dry cleaning solvent or even petroleum jelly until the stain is gone.
Lemon Juice and Detergent
Soak the ink stain under cold running water until no more ink comes out of the fabric. The water will run clear when running through the stain, Then make a paste of detergent and lemon juice. You can either juice lemons for this or use bottled lemon juice. Spread this paste over the entire area of the stain. Let this soak in for 30 minutes, then wash the garment as usual.
Washing
After removing an ink stain from clothing, you can soak the items in detergent and water, then wash as you normally would, adding another stain remover and color-safe bleach if necessary. If you are confident that the stain is gone completely, wash the item in hot water, again with color-safe bleach. Check the item carefully before putting it in the dryer so the heat of the dryer doesn't set a stain that isn't fully removed.
