Pulmonary Vascular Disease, also referred to as pulmonary hypertension, is a rare disorder of the circulatory system. The disease usually affects young and middle aged women. Pulmonary hypertension is defined when the pulmonary artery pressure rises to a level beyond the cardiac output ability.
Symptoms
Individuals with pulmonary hypertension may experience fatigue due to normal physical exertion. Some patients may experience dull chest pain that mimics angina pectoris, a term used to describe chest pain when there is decreased blood flow to the heart muscle.
