Detoxify Through Diets

Every day our bodies are exposed to and suffer from the effects of air pollution, water pollution and the unhealthy things we put in them. Detoxification is an important process that restores the body to healthier levels. There are several detoxification diets on the market right now, but there is a simpler way to detoxify through customized diets that will produce a healthier body and help you return to a healthier state of being.

Instructions

1. Determine the length of your diet. Decide how long the detox diet will last and what your goals are for the diet. If you are going to keep a detox food journal, decide what you will record every day in your journal such as measurements, food and drinks consumed for the day and notes on your diet.

2. Plan out your diet. You should outline the foods you will eat and the foods you will not eat. For a detox diet, you should stick to fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meats, like poultry and fish. You should try to only drink water, herbal teas, and hot water with lemon or lime first thing in the morning to activate your liver and kidneys. Make up a grocery list.

3. Choose the vitamin supplements you will take during your detox. You should take a multivitamin and extra supplements to balance your diet. To avoid feeling sluggish, make sure you are getting enough protein and B vitamins.

4. Exercise daily. Exercise is a vital part of detoxification diets. A 10-minute walk is enough to get your systems moving in the right direction. This walk is most effective when taken in the morning as you begin your day. Exercise as much as you can handle.
