Kegel Enlargement Techniques

Kegel exercises help strengthen the muscle in the bottom of the pelvis.


Both men and women have similar muscles in their pelvic area, even though the muscles serve different purposes. One muscle found in both men and women is the Kegel muscle, named after Arnold Kegel. The Kegel muscle is the muscle found across the pelvic floor of a man and woman. Strengthening the Kegel muscle is associated with helping muscles associated with bladder and urethra control. Developing the Kegel muscles sometimes also helps increase sexual performance.








Contracting Muscle Directly


The Kegel muscle helps open and close the urethra for both a man and a woman. For men, the Kegel muscle is contracted during urination. When a man stops his flow of urination, he is contracting the Kegel muscle. Knowing how this muscle works from urination helps a man pinpoint the location of the muscle. Once a man knows where and how the Kegel muscle works, he is able contract and hold the muscle for around 3 seconds and then relax the muscle. This exercise routine helps increase blood flow and strengthen the Kegel muscle.


Building Up Exercises


Most men are not able to hold their Kegel muscles for more than 3 or 4 seconds. This is because the muscle is relatively weak when contracted and relaxed purposely. If a man routinely performs these exercises, however, he is able to sense some increased strength within the pelvic muscles. The Medical Center at Ohio State University states that after a few exercise routines, men are able to increase the length of time, or the number of times in a day, they perform these exercises.


Performing With Other Exercises


It is often helpful to perform Kegel exercises while simultaneously performing other exercises. This allows a man to further increase blood flow because he is exercising his body. Lifting weights or doing sit-ups while performing Kegel exercises, for example, helps increase the blood flow throughout the body and, consequently, around a man's pelvic area.


Increasing Blood Flow


Exercising and refining the Kegel muscle helps increase the blood flow to the pelvic area. For a man, this means that his penis receives extra blood, especially during intercourse. Kegel exercises help strengthen a man's erection during sexual intercourse, and sometimes help a man with pre-ejaculation problems. This is because weak Kegel muscles are unable to help the muscles across the pelvic area. For example, if men notice that urine leaks from their urethra against their will, the Kegel muscles are likely weak. Strengthening the Kegel muscle often also helps improve sexual self-confidence.
