Infrared heater shutting off after about 5 minutes

Infrared heater shutting off after about 5 minutes

Hi, I just bought a refurbished Life Smart LS1000-2 Infrared heater off of ebay. When I turn it on, it turns on and pumps out a lot of heat for about 5 minutes then shuts off. Way before the room reaches the temp its set to. It's not too close to any walls or anything. Right now I have it on hardwood floors. Now, I already contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement, but I was really suprised they told me to keep the broken one or throw it away. I'd like to fix it now. I just opened up the back cover and found a relay in there. I was thinking the sensor hooked to the relay was telling the relay to switch off, so I bypassed the relay just wiring them together (not perminant... just jumpered them for testing.) It didn't fix it. I'm not sure what to look at next. This seems to have an internal circuit board so I would guess a bad circuit board. I attached a pic. The relay on the right with that black ball thing at the top that looks like a sensor is what I bypassed. I have no idea what that stuff on the board on the left does. I'm thinking maybe I need to rip apart the heater more to see if anything else stands out. I bought one recently from tractor supply and it was doing the same thing. their technical told me to disconnect the thermostat bulb from the back of the heater and let it hang loose. it fixed it and they sent me a bracket to hold it away. It was sensing the heater temp and not room temp. I take it that's the black bulb in the picture I took. I already bypassed that. Maybe I'll rip it apart and see if I see any other ones I can bypass. My heater works fine on low, but shuts off after about 10 minutes on high. Also the thermostat is way off, or not calibrated correctly. Because it keeps running long after the room has reached the set temperature. It's out of warranty, so I'm going to try and fix it myself. I am very experienced in electrical and electronic repair. So, if I figure out whats wrong with it, I will post my results here.
