Increase The Antiscald Temperature On A Delta Tub Faucet

Increase the Anti-Scald Temperature on a Delta Tub Faucet

The Delta anti-scald mechanism prevents you from being scalded should you accidentally turn the hot water all the way on. Adjustments in the anti-scald temperatures may be required between summer and winter. You will need to disconnect the handle in order to increase the anti-scald temperature on your Delta tub faucet.

Instructions

1. Locate the set screw that secures the faucet handle to the cartridge stem assembly. The set screw will be under the faucet handle near the curve of the handle. Remove the screw with an Allen wrench and pull the faucet off to reveal the anti-scald disc.

2. Grab the disc with your finger tips and pull out until it locks. This will give you access to the rotational limit stop and teeth adjuster. Pull the rotational lever stop off the cartridge assembly.

3. Move the tooth notch indicator clockwise to increase the anti-scald temperature. The temperature change per notch will be between 4 to 16 degrees. Push the rotational limit stop back into position.

4. Push the disc back toward the cartridge until the disc snaps into place. Position the handle back over the assembly and secure with the set screw.
