Program Information On The Uniden Bearcat 800mhz Scanner

You can program your Uniden Bearcat scanner to monitor police radio frequencies.

There are a number of Uniden Bearcat scanners, both base and mobile models, that can monitor frequencies ranging between 29 and 956 megahertz, or MHz. The Bearcat BC355C base scanner is one such model. You can use the scanner to monitor police, fire, emergency services, air-traffic control towers or weather channels. Once programmed, the scanner will continuously monitor these frequencies, stopping on a channel whenever there is a transmission over its frequency.

2. Go online to Radio Reference, the911site or Angelfire (see Resources section) and write down the frequencies you want to program your scanner to follow.

3. Press the number of the channel you want to program on the numeric keypad of the scanner.

4. Enter the frequency you want that channel to monitor, by using the keypad. Press the E or Enter button to save the frequency you just entered. Repeat the steps until and the channels on the scanner have been programmed.
